ABOUT HOST CITY: CAVITE
Cavite, a part of Region IVA (CALABARZON), has experienced steady industrial growth and urbanization in recent years partly due to its proximity to the national capital. Nonetheless, it still teems with natural resources, especially on the coastal areas. Besides its recognition as a major producer of oysters and mussels, the province also takes pride on its long stretch of shoreline along the northwestern borders of Cavite. Similarly, it boasts of its breathtaking beaches with pale gray sand, and actively promotes the protection and rehabilitation of mangrove areas.
With that being said, Cavite’s landscape edge - its coastlines and the sea, greatly contributes to the economic progress of the province, specifically, to fishery and tourism. It also continuously challenges the locals to protect the environment.
