L.Arch. Paulo G. Alcazaren
Fourth Keynote Speaker L.Arch. Alcazaren is a former president and member of the College of Fellows of the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA). He earned his masteral degree in Urban Design from the University of Singapore and completed both Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD). His professional practice of nearly four decades combines knowledge and skills in the fine arts, site planning, urban design, and landscape architecture. L.Arch. Alcazaren is passionate about conservation and protection of heritage and uses social media through his column in the Philippine Star and social network sites like Facebook for his unrelenting promotion of his advocacy. He is a charter member and current board of the Heritage Conservation Society (HCS) and consultant of the Department of Tourism (DOT) for the Rizal Park and the revitalization of Roxas Boulevard. With a string of awards of both local and international levels, one more recently added on his cap is the prestigious 2015 Gawad CCP Para sa Sining para sa Arkitektura by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). |
